Fertility Terminology

** AF - Aunto Flo (menstruation)
** BD - Baby Dance (gettin' it on)
** BFN - Big Fat Negative (refers to pregnancy test)
** BFP - Big Fat Positive (refers to pergnancy test)
** CD - Cycle Day (day 1 of a cycle begins at menstruation)
** DPO - Days Past Ovulation
** FRER - Fi.rst Re.sponse E.arly Re.sult pregnancy test
** FSH - Folicle Stimulating Hormone (used to grow and mature folicles [eggs])
** hCG - human chorionic gonadotrophin (the hormone given off during pregnancy - it is also used to trigger [or eject] mature eggs)
** HPT - Home Pregnancy Test
** IUI - Intra-uterine Insemination (injecting the sperm into the uterus via syringe - also known as the "Turkey Baster Method")
** IVF - In-Vitro Fertilization
** LP - Luteal Phase (the time between ovulation and menstruation)
** OPK - Ovulation Predictor Kit
** PG - Pregnant
** RE - Reproductive Endochronologist (fertility doctor)
** TTC - Trying to Conceive
** TWW - Two Week Wait (the time between ovulation and menstruation)

Bappy Hirthday!

Happy birthday to the most special little brother in the whole world.

God knew what he was doing when he put us together.

You are the best gift mom and dad ever gave me.

I am so blessed that 28 years ago today, you came into my life. Because of the relationship we have, I keep fighting to give my daughter a sibling so that she might know the joy you bring me. If I could give her just one thing, it would be a little brother just like you.

Thank you for being my best friend through thick and thin. For always being there for me. For always loving me no matter how horrible I was. For always reminding me that life is worth living, if only to spend time with you.

I love you just a little more than you love me. ;)
